Caption, "Negro-houses of Cape Mesurado" (present-day Liberia); shows structures used for various domestic purposes, each identified by a letter e.g., kitchen, preparation of millet and rice, "the palaver" room; also the marketplace (see Astley, p. 525 ff. for description); the original in Labat identifies the same features.
