The 1698 English edition (London) contains this image, but facing p. 33, while the 1699 Amsterdam edition contains a similar, albeit derivative and not identical copy (facing p. 45). The image of a "Negre Jouant du Balafo" is found in Jean Baptiste Labat , Nouvelle Relation de l'Afrique Occidentale (Paris, 1728), vol. 2, facing p. 332.
