Comments
Captioned "Visit of a Missionary and Wife to a Plantation Village," this shows the missionary and his wife, seated on left, being greeted by villagers. Depicted are the village's thatched-roof houses and the clothing styles of the residents; boys climbing a cocoanut tree are on right. The author, a Baptist missionary, had resided in Jamaica since 1823.
